Successful Projects

We have helped hundreds of departments just like yours get the federal funding they need to keep their communities safer. Let us help you, too.

Trotwood Fire Department

Congratulations goes out to the Trotwood Fire Department on taking delivery of their 2024 Sutphen Monarch Rescue /Pumper.

"Engine / Rescue 72" is a gorgeous new rig that sports a 1000-gallon water tank, 1,500 pm fire pump, a Class A foam system, and full width/depth “rescue” style compartments.

The concept of this new state of the art style of vehicle was brought about by the 2019 devastating EF4 tornado that ripped right through the heart of Trotwood.

In that specific situation, there wasn't enough manpower to get both the rescue and the engine company on the road at the same time. The simple fix was to combine these two very necessary pieces of apparatus into one streamlined response platform that brought the best of both worlds into one, easy to deploy unit.

Since first contracting with us in FY2015, Trotwood Fire has enjoyed a 100% success rate from OFRG, which has translated into approximately 4.5 million grant dollars awarded!

If you want success like this, I highly suggest you call us sooner than later to reserve your spot for the rapidly approaching FY2024 AFG and SAFER cycles!

South Madison Fire Territory

Today, I got the distinct pleasure of attending the annual oyster / chili and shrimp boil at South Madison Fire Territory in Pendleton, Indiana.

What makes this trip so special is that I got to meet the man, myth, and legend, Chief Chris Nodine. This man is a true class act and his projects are held very close to my heart.

While compiling data in preparation for OFRG to complete his new truck and extrication tool projects, Chris was diagnosed with intestinal cancer.

Unknowing what the ultimate outcome was going to be, we all worked extra hard to ensure his department received their awards.

In fact, they received both, a brand new "Engine 82" custom-cab Spartan Engine with a 1000 gallon tank and 1500 gpm pump, and a complete set of rescue / extrication tools, all in the same cycle.

Next, we got them awarded an lAFF Peer fitness training program and a complete set of weights and workout equipment.

Next after that, we got them completely new PPE extractors and dryers for all their stations.

Rounded off by a successful FY2023 SAFER project that allows them to hire six (6) new career firefighters and have all their expenses paid at 100% for three years!

Over the last 3 AFG / SAFER award cycles, OFRG has secured well over $3.2 million dollars for this agency!

Chief, who's writing your AFG & SAFER projects and how successful have they been?

Genoa Township Fire Department

Exciting News for Genoa Township Fire Department!

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our brand-new MSA G1 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus

(SCBA)! These advanced pieces of equipment were purchased thanks to a FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency AFG (Assistance to Firefighters Grants) grant, ensuring our department has the equipment we need to protect our community effectively and safely.

SCBAs are life-saving equipment that allows firefighters to breathe safely in dangerous environments, such as smoke-filled buildings, hazardous material incidents, and confined spaces. With the MSA G1, we're equipped with the latest technology, ensuring:

  • Enhanced safety features for our firefighters

  • Improved comfort and durability for extended use

  • Reliable performance in the most challenging situations

Grants like this are essential for ensuring our firefighters have access to cutting-edge equipment.

A huge thank you to Mickey Smith from Ohio First Responder Grants for his expertise and support in securing this funding. His work makes a tremendous impact on departments like ours, and we are deeply grateful for his assistance!

Thank you for trusting us to serve and protect Genoa Township. These SCBAs are just one example of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of both our team and our community.
